I am a painter and installation artist working with landscape as witness to collective and environmental histories

Sky, blood, ground (field), 2025, oil, acrylic, pencil, collage on paper, 42x 86”

We are all sky and blood and ground is an immersive installation in progress. Landscape is positioned as a living witness to human history. Through painting, suspended architectural forms, ambient sound, the work will construct an environment where beauty and devastation coexist. Crimson fields, fractured structures and fragile horizons are meant to suggest both an aftermath and an ongoing event. The earth is not scenery, it is a body that absorbs violence, grief and endurance. The installation asks viewers to remain present with these conditions, not to resolve them, but to recognize their proximity and shared responsibility.
